Well, we finally were able to make it to Kentucky to see Kathy's cousin Shawn, his wife Tammy, oldest daughter Evie and for the first time Joey! We wanted to visit right away when she was born but they had a lot of visitors and once again we decided we wanted to be selfish and visit after the hub bub had died down. We certainly are glad we waited because we had a hard enough time sharing with each other let alone anybody else.Isn't she adorable?
While we were visiting it happened to be Shawn and Tammy's 8th wedding anniversary. They have a very neat way of planning their anniversaries; on even years Shawn is in charge of everything and on even years Tammy is in charge. Well this was an even year and Tammy planned a carriage ride around Wilmore, dinner in the park and a night at a Bed and Breakfast! And we were there to baby sit the children so they could have some quality time together. They had an excellent time and we did as well.
We were able to take Evie shopping for an anniversary gift (she bought them mouse traps and a clock....don't ask). Chris had his first experience alone with a baby while we were shopping as Joey got a little fiesty so Chris took her out to the car and fed her and even tried to change her diaper while Kathy and Evie continued shopping! When Chris came back inside he found the girls with a cart full of stuff including the Hannah Montana hat the Evie has on here. HM is kind of, how do I put this, 'frowned upon' in their home so we were not sure if she was going to be able to keep it, so Kathy and Chris explained to her that first we will give her Mom and Dad their anniversary gifts and show them everything else we had got and then the Hannah hat. Well the best laid plans do not always go as planned as the first thing that her parents heard was "Kathy and Chris bought me a Hannah Montana hat, can I keep it?" Well after seeing how cute she looked Mom and Dad decided to make an exception.

On our last day we got to go to Kindergarten with Evie. We got to see her in her class with all of her friends, all of her projects on the walls and even eat lunch with her! Lucky for Chris we did not have to sit on the tiny chairs!!!
