Bayfield, Wisconsin Mar 08

We were able to fit in a couple of days at one of our favorite places to stay the Inn on the Lake in Bayfield, WI. We had the opportunity to stay here during our "Year of Travel" with Kathy's mother (Phyllis Carr) and had a great time and were thrilled that we would be able to bring everybody else to stay again. Our unit was very large sleeping 8 of us (Phyllis, Norma, Darrell, Shawn, Tammy, Evelyn, Kathy and Chris) and room for at least 2 more. We ate cheese stuffed raviolis with saffron cream sauce (per Norma's request/challenge) and a NY strip for Tammy (she was pregnant at the time and what ever she asked for we obliged). We had a tough game of Texas Hold 'Em that lasted really late (we were all in bed by about 10:30). Norma and Darrell had to drive back to Minneapolis early (5:00 am) and drove through a lot of snow, something like 14 inches. We can honestly say it was very beautiful but we don't miss it at all.
